السد يواجه مولودية الجزائر في كأس الأحرار

أعلن نادي السد بطل الدوري، عن مواجهة مولودية الجزائر بطل الدوري الجزائري وديا يوم 15 أغسطس الجاري على استاد جاسم بن حمد بنادي السد في كأس الأحرار، استعدادا للموسم الكروي الجديد 2026-2027.
وتحمل المباراة الودية طابعا خاصا وتحمل مسمى كأس الأحرار في إشارة إلى جذور تأسيس نادي السد الرياضي في عام 1969، وسيتوج الفريق الفائز بكأس تم تخصيصها لهذا الحدث.
وتعد هذه النسخة الثانية من كأس الأحرار، حيث كان السد قد توج بلقب النسخة الأولى العام الماضي عندما حقق الفوز على ضيفه الوداد المغربي بفارق ركلات الترجيح 5 - 4 بعد تعادلهما في الوقت الأصلي بهدف لكل منهما في المواجهة التي جرت على استاد جاسم بن حمد.

أعرب الإسباني ديفيد براتس مدرب الشمال وصيف دوري نجوم بنك الدوحة في الموسم الماضي عن تطلع الفريق لتحقيق أفضل النتائج خلال الموسم الكروي الجديد الذي ينطلق في 20 أغسطس الجاري عبر «دوري نجوم بنك الدوحة».
وقال براتس في تصريح: إن استعدادات الفريق تسير في الطريق الصحيح، بعدما قطع شوطا بعيدا خلال معسكر الإعداد الخارجي المقام حاليا في هولندا.
وأوضح أن الفريق تنتظره تحديات كبيرة في مختلف المنافسات، أبرزها المشاركة التاريخية الأولى في بطولة دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة، مؤكدا تطلعه للظهور بصورة مشرفة في البطولة القارية.
وأشار إلى أن التركيز الحالي ينصب على الوصول إلى الجاهزية الفنية والبدنية المطلوبة قبل انطلاق الدوري، في ظل انضمام عدد من اللاعبين الجدد إلى صفوف الفريق.
وحول طموحات الشمال، بعد الموسم الماضي، قال براتس: إن الفريق قدم موسما استثنائيا وحقق نتائج مميزة، مؤكدا «أن الموسم الجديد سيكون أكثر صعوبة».
وأضاف في السياق ذاته «الموسم المقبل سيكون مليئا بالتحديات، خاصة أننا سنشارك في أكبر بطولة على مستوى قارة آسيا للمرة الأولى في تاريخنا، وهي بطولة دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة، بجانب المنافسة في الدوري القطري، ولذا سنحاول أن نقدم أفضل ما لدينا». ولفت إلى أن خوض بطولة دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة إلى جانب الدوري المحلي يتطلب تنظيما كبيرا، خاصة مع ضغط المباريات، مشددا على أهمية التعامل مع هذا التحدي باعتباره جزءا من طبيعة كرة القدم.

Qatar SC’s overseas camp, which ran from July 15 to July 31, formed a key part of the club’s build-up to the new season, during which they will compete in both domestic and Gulf competitions.

The Kings played four friendly matches during the camp, opening with a commanding 5-0 victory over Futbol Jobs before drawing 2-2 with Malaysia’s Johor FC.

They were then held to a goalless draw by Spanish side Club Costa City before concluding the tour with a 3-0 defeat to fellow Spanish club UCAM Murcia.

Despite the mixed results, the friendlies provided valuable opportunities to assess combinations, improve match fitness and fine-tune preparations ahead of what promises to be a demanding season.

Qatar SC finished sixth in last season’s Qatar Stars League (QSL) standings with 32 points after recording nine wins, five draws and eight defeats. The club has strengthened its squad with the arrivals of Brazilian midfielder Bruno Tabata, Spanish duo Pau Prim and Albert Luque, along with Abdullah Al Marafi, as it looks to challenge more strongly in the new campaign.

The Kings will begin their QSL season against Al Wakrah at Lusail Stadium on August 20 before turning their attention to the Gulf Clubs Champions League, where they hope to make a strong impression.

Meanwhile, Al Arabi returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Saudi Pro League side Al Fateh in their third pre-season friendly in Marbella, Spain.

Spanish duo Rodri Sanchez and Pablo Sarabia were on target as Al Arabi responded positively after a 4-1 defeat to Neom in their previous outing. The team had opened its training camp with a convincing 3-0 win over Gibraltar’s Lions Gibraltar.

With two wins from three friendlies, Al Arabi’s preparations remain on track as the coaching staff continue building fitness, tactical cohesion and momentum ahead of the new season.

London: Managerless Newcastle announced the signing of Czech goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek from Portuguese side Braga on Monday.

Hornicek has agreed a five-year deal after the Magpies activated his 30-million-euro (£25.7 million, $34.6 million) release clause, and he becomes the club's fifth signing of the summer.

"The last few days have been an emotional rollercoaster from when I first heard about the move and now I'm so happy to be here," said the 24-year-old, who is expected to supplant Nick Pope as first-choice goalkeeper.

"I know Newcastle is a huge football city, with 52,000 fans at St James' Park creating an incredible atmosphere and pushing the team every game. I can't wait to play in front of them."

Newcastle sporting director Ross Wilson said Hornicek had "firmly established himself as one of Europe's top young goalkeepers".

Eddie Howe left his position as Newcastle boss last week after five years at the club.

The Magpies struggled to a 12th-place finish in the Premier League last season and have endured a difficult summer transfer window.
